34 Week Update
Baby Size: Cantaloupe Melon (I am getting my size from the Baby Center App)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained 24 pounds (appointment was yesterday)
Working Out: I am continuing to workout about 3-4 times per week. I am still doing Zumba but it is definitely getting more difficult. At home I have a couple videos I do but if I am crunched for time I will do about 10 minutes of squats (I have 2 songs from Zumba class that makes doing that many squats easy and fun). After squats I do the arm section from my Tracy Anderson Method Mat Workout, which is about 15 minutes both with and without weights.
Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes are in full swing. I haven’t really had to buy any new ones though. I think I will need some more bras in the near future. 😉 I purchased a maternity swimsuit top but it is still too big on my belly so I am still rockin’ (at least in my mind) my regular bikinis on the beach.
Stretch Marks: Not yet but I am very good about applying lotion everyday day!
Sleep: Sleep has been good, it never feels like a true, deep sleep. School is out for summer and I am still waking up at about 5:00 to take Baby Blue out and feed her. Then I am up for awhile but have been falling back asleep for a few hours. I haven’t had problems getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, thankfully. It looks like Baby Blue is getting some good sleep.
Best Moment of the Week: My first official day of summer.
Miss Anything: Nothing this week.
Movement: Baby Blue Eyes movement continues and it is getting bigger. It is so fun to be able to see my stomach moving. Baby Blue Eyes is on a pretty set schedule. The movements are definitely in the early morning and at night before bed. Baby especially starts partying when I have some chocolate ice cream!
Food Cravings: Fruit and veggie smoothies from our local health food store. Seriously I dream about them and when I make a smoothie at home it doesn’t even compare. I have to restrict myself to 1 per week after Zumba on Saturdays because these smoothies can be pricey…but seriously so worth it.
Symptoms: I have had some swelling for a few weeks. I can usually keep it under control, however when I flew home to Wisconsin for a baby shower it was horrible. Baby Blue Eyes is putting pressure on my left side which makes my left foot flair up more than my right. Also, the bottoms of my feet really hurt when I get out of bed in the morning. Other than that I am feeling great.
Anything make you queasy or sick? No!
Have you started to show yet? Yes, I am showing but I still don’t feel like I look 8.5 months pregnant.
Gender predictions? Boy today… But my doctor accidentally called Baby Blue Eyes a she at my appointment yesterday. She quickly back tracked and said, “I have no idea what your baby is. I don’t know why I said that.” I know it is not written in my chart so I do think it was purely an accident but it did get my mind going for a bit.
Labor Signs: No, but my doctor informed me that Baby Blue Eyes has dropped. We have an ultra sound in two weeks to check babies growth so I will have a better idea if I will go early.
Belly button in or out? In. I am hopeful that it will stay in, my sister thinks I’m crazy.
Wedding ring on or off? I have taken off my wedding rings. I think the Florida humidity is doing a number on my swelling. Mr. Blue Eyes must have been feeling sympathy pains because now he is ringless. He was out on the ocean doing some kayak fishing. As he was paddling he looked down and realized that his ring had fallen off. So now we are both bare. Oh well, there is one very lucky fish out there.
Happy or moody most of the time? I am feeling pretty good. Definitely want to start nesting and working on getting ready for baby but we are moving in 2 weeks so I am stuck living in a sea of boxes which is very stressful for me.
Looking forward to: Moving! So I can get Baby Blue Eyes room ready.
I will be back soon with some pictures from my showers up in Wisconsin. Also, some pictures of my classroom. This is the first year ever that I have actually had my room ready for the Fall when I walked out the door for summer. Babies are great motivation!
