A Classroom Update and a Football Party
I have been a bit M.I.A with classroom updates because I am still getting into the swing of things with all the new curriculum I have to learn. Just recently, like last Monday (Crazy!) received a completely new reading curriculum and had to begin teaching it! Whew! It was quite a hectic week to say the least. I did manage to upload a new freebie to my TPT shop that you can get now! In my classroom each child goes home with a behavior chart everyday. This behavior chart helps communicate with parents how their child’s day went. I started the year using a calendar where I had to fill in a the day with the color that represents how the child’s day went. This was an ok system, however I felt like my color system was complicated. It was taking me forever to write notes to parents about what the colors meant and it was just a mess. That is when I came up with this new chart. It has seriously changed how the end of my day goes! I am loving it and I think it is much easier to read and understand! Check it out here! Let me know how it works for you!
This week I will also be preparing for Open House! Yikes it sure did sneak up on me! I will keep you updated and hopefully post all the cuteness that comes from my sweeties. Pinterest was a key player in finding adorable ideas…More to come.
Today we invited our friends and family over for an Introduction to Redzone! If you have not watched Redzone on a football Sunday you are missing out! It is 8 hours of action packed football because they only play the teams that are about to score or make a big play (in the Redzone)! Seriously this is the way to watch football and since we are down in Florida our beloved Green Bay Packers are not shown every week. With Redzone we are able to see all the action!
Bloody Mary Bar
At our Redzone introduction we of course had to represent Wisconsin with our Bloody Mary Bar. Our family is quite partial to Mr. T’s Hot and Spicy mix. It has so much flavor! Then we set out all the fixings…
-Pepper Jack Cheese
-3 types of Olives
-Lemons and Limes
Mr. Blue Eyes premade the Bloody Marys so he wouldn’t have to miss any of the football action.
Everyone who came to the party brought a yummy app so we had plenty of food to go around. I also whipped up some Cool Ranch Chicken Tacos in the slow cooker and they were a hit! Here is the original recipe that I used from Pinterest. I added some garlic salt for a bit more flavor!
All in all the party was a success and a ton of fun! Can’t wait for next weeks party! Currently I am watching the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers and hoping that Russell Wilson can help me pull off a win in my fantasy league (if the rain holds out)!
