Blue Eyed Favorites

Blue Eyed Favorites

This weekend while I was cleaning and working around our apartment I got to thinking about some of our favorite products that we use in our Blue Eyed Abode.

1. Bissell Little Green : At our household we have a furry, BIG friend who can get a little messy.  Baby Blue (Roo) can get pretty sandy, muddy, stinky, wet…you name it and she has been covered in it.  Our sweet little Baby Blue, like all littles can get sick… in the house (I know, I know, sorry).  This lovely description leads me to my first favorite product!  At our wedding 2 years ago we received one of the best gifts ever, the Bissell Little Green.  Oh my word! This thing is like magic, no joke.  Anytime I have a stain, mess, or I just feel like cleaning the fabric furniture I get this little baby out and it gets the job done and then some!  It removes all stains (there isn’t a stain that it has met that it hasn’t made disappear).  The Little Green also leaves everything smelling delicious! You can get the cleaning soap at any major store.  I usually get my soap at Target and ALWAYS get the pet stain/odor version.  I know our Little Green will continue to get used especially when our new little Baby Blue Eyes is born!

2. Aquiesse Aesthetic Scents Candle – Luxe Linen: Ahhhh…That is all I can say about this candle.  I first got this candle at a little boutique in Wisconsin.  I tried it on a whim and fell in love immediately.  It is beachy and clean and fills the room with the most beautiful aroma {some candles don’t smell and it’s weird}.  This candle also burns for an extremely long time!

3. Mrs. Meyers Clean Day: Mr. Blue Eyes and I have become more conscious of what types of products we are bringing into the house.  Mrs. Meyer’s is one of our favorites.  We have been using it for awhile and will never go back to anything else! These products come in a variety of amazing scents and Mrs. Meyer’s has created every type of cleaning product that you could need.  The Blue Eyed bunch is really loving the hand soap and kitchen countertop spray.  The first scent that we used and loved was Geranium, delicious.  Then I tried the Basil and we both fell in love with it! It is so yummy and leaves the most incredible scent in your house and on your counters! These earth friendly and cruelty free products are amazing.  If you try one product I know you will be hooked!

4. BabyList: With the arrival of Baby Blue Eyes coming I have been looking into where to register.  While I was browsing I came across the Babylist website! It is so cool because you don’t have to choose a specific store to register.  This website allows you to shop around at different stores on the web and add items that catch your eye to your registry.  It’s possible to add items from any website you can think of! So cool!

5. Planbook.com: This item is for all my teachers out there! This is a website that I absolutely adore and literally use everyday! Planbook is an online planning book that makes planning lessons a breeze.  When you register on Planbook.com you get 1 month free and after the first month it costs $12.00 for the rest of the year! What a deal! So here’s how it works…you create your schedule and then you can type in your weekly plans for each subject.  Don’t worry if you don’t get to one of your planns or you fall behind because you can simply, “bump” it to the next day or week.  All this is great, however, my favorite aspect of Planbook.com is the import feature.  My 4 teammates and I share the planning responsibilities.  We each plan one subject, then through planbook we can import the plans our colleagues created by using their email and password.

6. Flameless Candle: These candles are so neat! When I first got them at Christmas I thought I wouldn’t like them.  I thought they would look a little cheesy.  My mind was quickly changed when I put them around the house on my many candle holders.  I turned them on and it immediately felt cozier in our house. I was transported back to the brisk Wisconsin evenings by the fire! :)  The candles create such a warm and cozy atmosphere that I am desperate to get more! The flameless candles even come with timers so they turn on at the same time every night and then turn off 4 hours (or so) later.  You can get flameless candles at really any major retailer!
