Easy Playroom Organization on a Budget
The boys playroom is a loft space on the second level of our house. This means it is the first thing you see when you walk upstairs and it doesn’t have a door. That is why it is important for me to have the playroom organized.
In my dream world the playroom would be organized with jars, bins and containers labeled for each particular toy it would hold. However in reality I have 2 young boys who are not as detail oriented as me. Those types of labels and expectations would end up driving me crazy… so give me all the bins! Bins, baskets and crates are easy for the boys to put their toys in, they look cute and they are budget friendly. I have had the most luck finding cute bins on Amazon. Marshalls and HomeGoods also have a great selection of organization essentials.
I love using a variety of organizational bins to give the space a more eclectic look.
“Toys” Canvas Storage Bin: I think these are bright and fun and great for a playroom.
“Storage” Canvas Storage Bins: I have been extremely happy with these storage bins.
Rustic, Chalkboard Crates: These are so cool and I love the chalkboard accent.
White Wooden Crates: Love the look of these!
Wire Baskets: These are perfect for picture book storage.
Here are a few of the other items that I have used to make this playroom more fun for the boys!
Blue Bohemian Rug: This was my second choice for the rug and I also loved the pink!
Muted Blue Rug: This is another great choice!
Striped Rug: We have this rug as a runner. I love the colors however the fabric has pulled up in a few places and you definitely need a pad underneath.
Airplane Picture: This is a bit more of a splurge but it is definitely a statement piece!
Table and Chair Set: I love the look of this set and I always get compliments on it.
Daybed: This daybed was very easy to put together and is great for guests.
Octopus Toy: This pillow is adorable and the boys love it! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of our playroom space. What are your favorite places to get organization essentials?
