My Favorite Pajamas for Baby and Toddler Boys
Our family is by no means fashion forward. Mr. Blue Eyes is still wearing his t-shirts from high school and I can’t remember the last time I legitimately shopped for myself. In college, I actually dressed cute (at least in my mind) and I worked hard at picking out clothes and shopping regularly. As I am sure many of you know when you get married priorities start to shift to husband, house, you. Then when you have children your priorities shift even more because now you have husband, children, house, you. This is just a season in my life and I know someday that fashion loving side will reemerge. However, right now the only fashion advice I can give is on toddler boy clothes.
The blue eyed boys have been very lucky to get some great hand-me downs from cousins and friends. I really didn’t have to shop much with our first and then when we had another boy it was perfect because he could just wear the hand-me downs again. I am sure that some of the clothes Oliver is wearing (our 2nd) are on their 3-4th go around!
I don’t love spending a ton of money on clothes for the boys because like everyone knows they grow out of them so quickly. They are just playing in them, getting dirty and plus my boys really could care less! As long as they can run, jump, play and don’t have itchy tags they are good to go. Also, a deep dark secret that I have is that I am terrible at doing laundry (I am still trying to figure out if it is me or my washing machine). Seriously it doesn’t matter if I read the care instructions I always seems to ruin items and with the boys and the stains…Grrrr. I can presoak and stain treat until the cows come home but they still seem to come out with stains and then I end up throwing out perfectly good clothes.
I am not a total Grinch the boys do get their own new clothes every now and again. We are also lucky to have grandmas and aunties who like to send the boys care packages with clothing goodies. The boys recently got a care package from their Nana with some really fun Old Navy pajamas in it and that is why I am going to share my favorite brands/pairs of toddler/baby boy pajamas!
Old Navy is one of my favorite places to shop for the boys. They have great basics at great prices and you can always seem to find a discount code or sale going on. Old Navy has really cute pajamas out now for the Fall/Winter so be sure to grab them! The Skeleton set are on major sale!
Gap is another favorite and is actually part of the same company as Old Navy but just a step up. Like Old Navy, Gap always has adorable prints, patterns and colors but just at a higher price point. I find that the clothes at Gap and Old Navy do run fairly true to size, there are some brands that I think run small or shrink after 1 wash (again it could be my terrible laundry skills). We have some 2-3 year old Gap/Old Navy pajamas in our current rotation still holding strong! It also helps that Mr. Blue Eyes sister works for Gap and always keeps me posted on the sales.
Crewcuts by Jcrew has such adorable stuff! Crewcuts is around the same price point as Gap or maybe a bit higher. We have had a few pieces from Crewcuts but again it is a bit higher than I like to spend for items that might get ruined after 1-2 wearings.
Finally, Kickee Pants…Ok if you haven’t tried this brand you need to splurge on 1-2 items. These are my absolute favorite and I think they are worth the money. They are literally the softest, most snuggly pajamas and outfits ever. They also have great basic colors if crazy prints aren’t your thing.
Those are some of our favorite places to get pajamas because there is nothing cuter than a little boy in PJs. Our boys will probably never be voted best dressed but they sure do look handsome in whatever they wear 🙂
