Close…But No Cigar!
That is how I am currently feeling about our Blue Eyed Apartment decor. I made huge strides in the last month but I am still missing a few key furniture pieces and some accessories. Even though I am not completely satisfied it is starting to feel a bit more like home. Also, we are currently open to accept visitors! Woo hoo! Let me know if you want to book a night in the Blue Eyed Suite! We can not wait to have our first visitors.
Here are some before pictures so that you can get a little glimpse as to where we came from!
Seriously moving day was one of the worst in my life. I believe it was 99 degrees and it was just Mr. Blue Eyes and I. Oh did I mention we live on the third floor. Best work out ever but completely exhausting.
I know it is pretty scary. That is why it has taken me this long to post any pictures!
Now on to the afters. Remember it is a work in progress!
We love this bench in the entry way. It is the perfect place for us to put our shoes, bags, etc. You can also see Mr. Blue Eyes Packer picture in the background. We are working on trying to hang it. The first attempt did not work very well.
The Living Room
These are the shots from our living room. Everything was ours from Wisconsin but I did purchase that new side table from a beach store down the road! I am in love with the colors and rustic feel!
The Blue Eyed Bedroom
Of course Baby Blue has a bed! I am working on that dresser vignette. It is not quite the look I am going for so it is definitely next on my to do list. One of the problems I am having is that the Marshalls and Target down here are not so great. It is a bit disappointing so I will have to do some hunting for new shopping, stomping grounds.
The Blue Eyed Bathroom
On to the dining room with no dining table. As you can see I am searching for a dining table. However, I did get this great gray hutch from The Beach House Market this weekend! Obsessed! It is in desperate need of some beachy accessories.
The Dining Room
Now the guest room! Again let me know if you want to book a night or two!
The Guest Room
The teal guest room table came from Urban Outfitters on clearane (Oh Yeah!) and then the other side table is the matching table to the side table in the living room. I purchased those tables at The Coastal Cottage Emporium. If you have been reading my blog you recognize the “golf ball” lamp from my earlier post. You can read it here. I finally decided that because I was using a lot of color in the guest room I wanted to keep the lampshade neutral. This burlap shade is from Target.
Like the title says, we are close but no cigar.
I hope you enjoyed this little snapshot into our apartment. Stay on the look out for more shots as we progress.
